Hi, Laura! Thanks for checking on me. This one has been a real roller coaster. I started spotting all day Monday. It went away Tuesday. It came back Wednesday. My doc had me in for an u/s to check what was going on and even did an exam and couldn't find a trace of blood or reason for my bleeding. They went ahead and took my blood since I was there and was supposed to have progesterone checked the following day. I had no bleeding Thursday and we got my labs back. My progesterone was 57.1 (way more than the 25.1 I had with my last IUI). Then I had more bleeding Friday. It started with what I'd consider a light flow and then I just spotted the rest of the day. Today was the same. I have no idea what's going on and neither does my doctor. They've said not to give up on this one b/c my progesterone levels are great and my lining was really nice and thick at my u/s on Wednesday. He said there was no area where it looked the least bit unstable. So...I don't know what to think. It's been nuts.

I hosted my bf's baby shower today. It went really well and I didn't feel sorry for myself one single time.

How are you feeling? Any major symptoms yet?

Hey Melissa -

My goodness, you have really been through the ringer these past few days! I'm glad to hear that your doctor is positive and that your progesterone # is so high...that is great. Just hang in there. I'm praying that your little bean is growing nice & strong!

And I'm super impressed that you made it through a baby shower. Geesh...I don't know if I could have been that strong.

I'm doing pretty well...just nervous as can be and eagerly awaiting our u/s next week. I'm petrified that we will get to our appointment and discover that the baby is gone. I know that is such a horrible thought, but it's a big fear. I'm just trusting in God and I know that this baby will be perfect, if that is His will.

I don't have any symptoms yet. With my first pregnancy, symtoms didn't kick in until about week 7 or 8, so its still a bit early. But I would be THRILLED if I started having symptoms. That would be so comforting!

You have been & will continue to be in my prayers. Keep me posted!

Thanks, Laura. Things grow even more confusing... I thought I started my period on Sunday morning. I woke up and had a light flow (definitely not spotting, but a flow). My breast tenderness also totally went away. I cried all morning as the bleeding kind of came and went. By the afternoon it had stopped and I haven't even had any spotting since then. My test day isn't until Thursday so this is VERY early for a period. I'm wondering if it could have been an early miscarriage. I don't know. I've taken two hpt and they were both negative. Very sad. My doc still says not to give up. Ha!

It is early for pg symptoms. I had symptoms with the son we lost before I ever got a + hpt. But with C.J. (our 2nd), symptoms didn't start until later and were never nearly as obvious as with my first. It was a much easier pregnancy. Those symptoms can be comforting, though. You're right about that! When is your u/s?

I agree with your doctor...don't give up hope! You never know what God is doing. :-) So you are doing a Beta HCG tomorrow?

My u/s is next Monday (2/25). The wait feels like forever.

Hang in there!!! I'm thinking of you!

Laura, how did the u/s go? Can't wait to hear!

My IUI didn't work. I'm back on bcp now.

Hi Melissa -
I'm so sorry to hear your IUI didn't work out this time. And I'm sorry that it was such a rollercoaster cycle. My last one was like that, and it really took it out of me emotionally & physically. You've been in my prayers...and will continue to be. How long will you be on BCP? I'm hopeful this next cycle is it for you!!

My u/s went really well today. We saw one strong heartbeat. We go back next Monday for another u/s with our RE and then hopefully we will graduate to our OB. I'm nervous, scared...but also hopeful and just praising God for this opportunity!

I'm always around if you want to talk.
