My DH and I began TTC about 3 years ago. After a year and a half we began to worry. After some testing and several doctor visits, we were told that IVF would be our only option. So, we did our first cycle in May 2006 and it WORKED!! Everything was going so perfect during my pregnancy, not a single problem. Then the unthinkable happend, I went into pre-term labor at 27 weeks. Our precious son, Logan, lived for 5 days. He had grade 4 brain bleeds (worst type) on both sides of his brain, and his liver would not stop bleeding. His liver was swollen to more than 3x its normal size. We buried him on Christmas Eve. We decided to do another IVF cycle this May. We had 12 frozen embryos and decided to only transfer one. The cycle WORKED and I am due in the middle of February. We are trying to stay guarded, but it is so hard not to get excited. We are praying for a miracle that we can take home! |

| So great to see you here, Heather! I've been wondering what happened with your IVF and hoping it was successful. That's wonderful news! Have you considered trying out the MEND Subsequent Pregnancy Group? I can tell you more privately if you're interested. Congratulations to your family! |

Heather,
I am so happy so hear the cycle worked for you. I also got pregnant (using super-ovulation and IUI), and am due at the end of February. Because we both had pre-term labor, I am really interested to hear what your doctor said about this pregnancy. You are in my prayers.
