There's been so much that has happened since my last real update and, frankly, I'm tired of thinking about all of these tests, procedures, medications, etc. Don't worry. I'm not sick of hearing about the rest of you. I'm just tired of hearing myself talk about myself! So, I won't give any details for now because I'm sick to death of this whole subject. Ha! But, suffice it to say that I'm having a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy on Tuesday afternoon. I have to start a liquid diet in 15 minutes, so I'm about to go stuff my face with cookie dough. Haha! This evening, I have to drink a really strong laxative and stay on a liquid diet through tomorrow. (Does this sound fun or what?) Tuesday, my surgery isn't scheduled until the afternoon and I can't eat or drink anything after midnight on Monday. So, first, please pray for my husband because I'm not a person who can be happy without food.

Obviously, our prayer is that this will bring us one step closer to another baby. So I would ask that you please pray for that, and pray that all will go well and there would be no complications.

Thanks so much! I'm really thankful for all of you.

I have been thinking of you all day. I hope you are feeling OK. I remember when I had the same surgery, it took about 4 days for me to start really feeling better. Did you survive you "diet" the past couple of days? Let us know how you are doing when you feel like it.

Take it easy,
Cheryl

Hi, everyone! This will be short, but I wanted to let you all know that I'm home and on the road to recovery. There were all kinds of surprises for my doctor! My uterus was in way worse shape than we could have imagined. But things went well, and I'm hopeful for the future. The work they did in there was much more extensive than we expected, so my pain has been a lot greater than expected. I've had this surgery before, but there is no comparison as far as the pain. Between one vaginal birth and one c-section, I've never come close to the amount of pain I felt in the recovery room! You guys will laugh later when I tell you the story of how I made the nurses quote scripture and sing hymns to calm me down. I was hyperventilating really bad, and that was the only thing that worked.

I'll give a more full report when I have a little more energy. For now, the pain is manageable if I stay on my meds every 4 hours exactly. I learned my lesson last night and will be setting an alarm tonight so I can take more during the night.

OK, gotta run. Thank you for your support and prayers!
