I got my cycle today, day 29, so I am not pregnant. I go back to the doctor on Wednesday for a sonogram. They thought the medication they gave me for the lactation hormone that still seems to be in my system would help my cycle go back to normal. We are sad but, we are okay going for round two. I am going to request that my doctor give me something else besides clomid because this time around my numbers were lower and he had raised the dose. I have taken clomid 4 times now. Also, I am going to discuss with him that we may need to look inside because for several months now I have been cramping for at least two weeks before my cycle. So needless to say 1 week out of the month I have no cramping and the rest of the time it is cramping and sometimes horrible shooting pains. I have had endometriosis in the past and I am scared it may be back now. Thanks for your continued prayers. Liz Walker |

Liz, I am so sorry. I hope that they are able to find out why you are cramping and fix it so that you can get your miracle. Keeping you in my prayers. |

| Liz, I was just about to email you to ask if you knew anything yet. I'm so very sorry! I think trying something other than Clomid might be a good idea. And I'm no expert, but from what I understand about endometriosis, it's not something that just goes away. I had surgery in 2004 and have had estrogen suppression twice to treat mine, but it will always come back. So...it sounds like you're on the right track. I'm really sorry. I know you must be disappointed. Thinking of you, friend! |

Hey Liz, I am so sorry to hear, but I am glad you are looking forward. Just to let you know, I still have some of the medication left if you decide to go that route and use the same medication (Follistim). That's the one that is so expensive. You may have to order more, but you are welcome to what I have. It will be good until at least next summer, so no hurry. Even If you opt for surgery first to get rid of any endometriosis. Let us know what the doc says. Thinking of you. Cheryl |

Hi Liz, Sorry to hear the news. We will keep praying for that next cycle. You may want to talk to your doctor about the risk of multiples if you do the shots. You might want to check into doing an IVF cycle since you get the chance to get the strongest embryo implanted. It might be worth your while to check into what your insurance would pay for the IVF. Just food for thought since I think the shot cycles run about $3500 for one attempt although your insurance may pay for more of that than the IVF. Just ideas for you to kick around. Our fertility docs were pretty vague about what it was going to cost when we were doing our shot cycles and then you get the bill! Hope it helps! I pray it does not muddy the waters. Much love, hugs and prayers to you! Paula |

Thank you all for the prayers. In short I went back to the doctor and he said he thought I was having so much pain because of clomid and ovaries ovulating. We did try clomid and repronex shots this time and I got 4 follicles..never have I got that many. 2 were very mature and 2 were on 14 but they could have grown over two days. Well we had the IUI on the 13th but when I went in the doctor did see three fibroids all lined up to the left of my cervix. He said it was too late to cancel the cycle and if I don't get pregnant he wants me to have surgery to get them out. At this point we are just waiting and praying for a baby. If we are pregnant then we will pray about the fibroids to stay small and move away from my cervix because the doctor said they can weaken the cervix even more. Again thank you'll for praying and I praying for all of you. We need to have a party with all our babies when they get here! |
